Calls for strengthening the bonds of coalition

Jammu: Meeting of Provincial Working Committee of J&K National Conference Jammu Province was held at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan Jammu under the Chairmanship of Dr. Farooq Abdullah President J&K National Conference and Union Minister for New & Renewable Energy today in which the members of the committee discussed besides organizational issues and future course of strategy to strengthen the party at grass root level.

Addressing the meeting Party President Farooq Abdullah announced holding of Party elections, the process of which he said will be started within a weeks’ time.

Abdullah expressed gratitude to the UPA Chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for all support extended to the coalition government.

Asking the party workers to strengthen the bonds of coalition at grass root, Dr. Abdullah said “the state government has completed three years which witnessed holistic development in all spheres and it is our (Party’s) responsibility to take the message of the government to the people and strengthen the bonds of the coalition at grass root”.

He also called upon the party rank and file to gear-up for the upcoming Municipal and Local Bodies elections which have been announced by the government. (AIP News)
