Srinagar: Investigation report of the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Crime Branch has indicted state Education Minister Peerzada Muhammad Sayeed for helping his son pass the Board examination in 2009 using unfair means, National News Channel reported on Wednesday.

It said the Crime Branch would submit the report today, its contents leaked to the media stated Sayeed’s son was assisted in clearing class ten Board exams of more than two subjects in 2009.

The report also goes on to say that officials of both the Board and Education departments were involved in the scandal.

In the most damning revelation, the report says the minister’s son, Imam Sauban’s Urdu and Math papers were written by a senior education department official.

It has also been established that prior to the exams, the Board allowed Imam Sauban’s migration from one examination to another favourable one. (AIP News)
