Jammu: Terming the last three years of government as ‘black years’ in the history of Jammu and Kashmir, Bhartiya Janta Party Wednesday said that ministers in National Conference-Congress coalition government were involved in ‘land grabbing and in various other scams’ and demanded resignation from Health Minister Sham Lal Sharma and PHE Minister Taj Mohi-ud-Din for the direct or indirect involvement in the ‘land grabbing scam’ in Jammu.
In a statement sent to Agence India Press, BJP State Secretary Advocate Vibodh Gupta alleged that corruption has increased many folds in the state and ‘ministers are themselves involved in many scams.’
“Sham Lal Sharma’s name have been came to the limelight in a two kanal land grabbing scam in Domana area whereas three daughters of Taj Mohi-ud-Din had grabbed 342 kanal of land in Jammu by taking the advantage of Taj and there is no action against the Ministers, “Gupta alleged and demanded resignation from Sham and Taj at the earliest.
He said that even Azad faction of Congress has recently demanded resignation from Sham Lal Sharma and government must expel both these ministers immediately.
Taking dig at Government, Gupta said that state government has internally ‘collapsed’ but the Skelton is still there. “There are cracks in the coalition and people are suffering a lot due to tit for tat policy of NC-Congress coalition.”
Terming three years period as black period, Gupta said that government has become nonexistent and there is no work on the ground.
BJP has also demanded to clear all cases pending in Accountability Commission against certain government ministers and bureaucrats and accused government of diluting the commission for saving their own skin.
“BJP will start exposing the government as all the promises made by Congress and National Conference during election campaign have turned hoax and not even a single point mentioned in their election manifesto have been fulfilled,” he claimed. (AIP News)
