Srinagar: Union Minister for Rural Development, Jairam Ramesh inaugurated the ‘Himayat project’ on Saturday here in Srinagar, which would provide training and employment to one lakh youth of the Jammu and Kashmir state during the next five years.
On the occasion, Jairam Ramesh said, ‘Himayat project’ will provide training and employment to one lakh youth of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said central government was fully committed to cooperate with the J&K government and will fulfill all the promises made with the state government in the past.
Divulging the details about this project, Jairam said, “Under this project, one lakh youth will get computer training and will enhance their communication skills, so that they will get employment in various industries across the India.”
He emphasized for setting up of B.P.O’s and call centres in the state for the reduction of unemployment.
Economic Advisor to Prime Minister, Ranga Ranjan in his address said,” Himayat project will provide skill development and placement to one lakh youth of Jammu and Kashmir in the next five years.”
He hoped, this project will help the state to tackle unemployment and will provide new job opportunities for the youths of Jammu and Kashmir. (AIP News)
