JAMMU: Minister for Youth Services and Sports and Medical Education, R.S. Chib today placed seven officials of Primary Health Centre at Satrayan, Suchatgarh, under suspension after finding them absent from their duties during his surprise visit to the hospital.
The suspended employees were Dr. Ashok Kumar, ISM, S. Kulwant Singh, Senior Pharmacist, S. Manjeet Singh, Pharmacist (ISM), S. Harbans Singh, H.E, Sita Devi, FMPHW, Harbans Lal, BHW and S. Param Singh, BHW.
Speaking to people during his extensive tour of various border villages of Suchatgarh, Chib said that government is committed to augment basic infrastructure in rural areas to ensure their planned development. He said government is seized of the development issues of the people inhabiting far off areas, adding holistic development of such locations is receiving focused attention.
The Minister asked the concerned officers to speed up the execution of the development works in their respective sectors. He asked them to be more responsive by making themselves accessible to public and ensuring speedy redressal of their grievances.
During his interaction with Sarpanches of the area, the Minister asked them to focus on the problems of the people they represent and work in close co-ordination with administration for the betterment and welfare of the people. He said grass-route leaders should be instrumental in the implementation of development plans and welfare schemes. (AIP News)
