Srinagar: Kashmir University Centre of Research for Development (CORD in collaboration with Department of Science & Technology Government of India is holding a two week summer training camp for science students an official said here.
According to the University spokesperson The camp to be held shortly in Centre of Research for Development (CORD, University of Kashmir, Srinagar will accommodate students from Botany, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioresearches, Clinical Biochemistry, Environmental Science, Food & Nutrition, Food Technology and Zoology streams only . “CORD has invited applications on plain paper from the P.G. Students and Research scholars of University of Kashmir belonging to above disciplines of science for attending two week’s summer training camp” he said .
Speaking about the importance of the summer camps Prof Azra N kamli convener of the programme and director CORD said that such camps broaden vision of our students and the training enables them to acquire latest skills, thus increase versatility for qualification for busting careers .. She said it also enables to drive greater satisfaction and utilize the full skills and capacity of students..
Prof Azra said that the centre is conceptualized to facilitate a meaningful transition for an aspiring scholar from acquiring knowledge towards an advanced stage of its creation and application. Through various academic exchange programs, the Centre aims at establishing a universal nature and legitimacy of a research culture, to motivate scholars to cultivate an aptitude for intercultural and transnational communications, in scientific spheres, added Dr kamli.
A total of 30 students will be selected for the camp. The Last date for submission of applications is 20th August, 2011(AIP).
