Srinagar: Apart academics, engineering and other fields, Kashmiri youth have extraordinary talent in music as well. A group of Kashmiri youth shined at “season 3”, one of the famous music shows which recently began on colors TV.
The Kashmiri Band performed with six members including Guitarist and Rhythmst like Amir Khan, Mukhtar Bhat, Mohammad Rafi, Muzaffar Ahmad and Sarjan and enthralled the audience.
The youth expressed joy that they were given a chance by Colors TV to showcase their talent in Mumbai.
An expert team which arrived here last month selected many of artistic youth from Kashmir and had offered them to come to Mumbai to showcase their talent. The youth who went to Mumbai achieved a milestone in their careers by qualifying into quarter finals.
Mohammed Rafi, head of Valley Boys rock drive band which rocked the stage in Mumbai told Agency India Press that “we start our performance with famous Kashmiri song ‘Roz Roz Boz Maen Zaar Madhno’ in the show and we got qualified to quarter finals”
He further said that “since sixteen years, we are performing in J&K State, but now we got the chance to prove ourselves, and we rocked there” he expressed hope that his band would reached into the finals. “We want to prove to the world that Kashmiries are talented and we can be on a par with anyone,” he said.
Earlier, Ashvini Yardi, Programming Head, Colors, said “‘India’s Got Talent’ has a legacy of finding individuals and groups with unique and enchanting talents. In the past, the show has given India two gems in the form of Prince Group in the first season, which has since then gone on to make our nation proud on many international level events.
Anupama Mondloi, Head of Content, Freemantle media, said, “‘India’s Got Talent – Season 3’ has traveled to over 25 cities including Srinagar this season in search of a wide variety of talent. It promises to be a true representation of modern as well as traditional India, with a vast array of talent that spans all age groups. The panel of judges, including Dharamji, who is new this season, brings their unique brand of charisma to the show.”
The hosts for this season are model-actor Gautam Rode and actor-singer-dancer Meiyang Change. (AIP)
