3 die, 5 injured in road mishaps in valley

Three persons died and five others were injured in different road accidents in Kashmir Valley, police spokesperson said
Mohammad Iqbal Wani of Nepora Qazigund, carrying Nallah mak (Bajri) in tractor from Nallah Sunderan to Gazi Stone Crasher Nepora turned turtle near Sunderan, resulting on spot death of the driver of the vehicle. In another case, Mehraj-ud-Din Rather of Wusan at present Fatehpora fell down from a 407 LP vehicle bearing registration number JK01F-6505, which was on way from Lar to Behama Ganderbal, resulting in his critical injuries. The injured was hospitalized where he succumbed to his injuries. Police has registered a case in this regard.

In continuation to road accident near Humhama Budgam on 30.07.2011, the injured Ghulam Ahmad Dar of Choon Budgam succumbed on 01.08.2011 at SKIMS Soura Srinagar.

In another incident a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK01L-4454 fell into deep gorge at Poshkar, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kangan, resulting in injuries to driver of the vehicle Ghulam Nabi Shah and Farooq Ahmad Sheikh s of Khanan Kangan. Both the injured were hospitalized. Police has registered a case in this regard.

A Bus bearing registration number JK01N-1727, Auto Load Carrier bearing registration number JK01P-7531 and Maruti car bearing registration number JK015C-1053 collided near Zangam, , resulting in injuries to Auto Load Carrier driver Bilal Ahmad Bhat of Kreshbal Noorbagh, Srinagar. The injured was shifted to SDH Pattan where from he was referred to SMHS Srinagar for further treatment.

A Police Bus bearing registration number JK02AJ-9633 hit and injured one Head Constable Piara Singh No. 312/AP 12thBn near MT Road, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Tarzoo, Sopore, while closing the nafri from Sopore Town. The injured was shifted to Bone & Joint Hospital Srinagar for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard. A child namely Roohi Hilal daughter of Hilal Ahmad resident of Bemina Srinagar, who was on an excursion with her family, was hit and injured by an unknown vehicle on National Highway near Jawbara Awantipora. The injured was shifted to Bone & Joint Hospital Srinagar. Police has registered a case in this regard. (AIP)
