New Delhi: Delhi hotels may lose business manifold in lieu of unhygienic conditions and expensive rates.
This is what is claimed by a survey led by a travel website TripAdvisery. The survey showed that two out of five filthiest hotels in India were located in New Delhi. It revealed that visitors coming all the way to India were not satisfied with the quality of hotels. They (the visitors) found Delhi hotels to be the dirtiest in the country.
Unhygienic conditions with expensive rates have left below the average remarks on Delhi hotels. In 2011 Travelers Choice Hotel Awards, 80% of the votes for dirtiest hotels go into the account of the three metros of Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai.
Keeping in mind the travelers review, Trip Advisory submit a list of ‘dirty’ hotels and ‘most recommended’ hotels every year and follows it up with staff visits and videos to verify claims made by visitors.
Surprisingly, in the list of filthy hotels, New Delhi comes at the top followed by Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerela and last Uttar Pradesh.
Clear dissatisfaction showed in the blogs on the website for New Delhi hotels like “the hotel provided a very uneven experience all round.” And “I wouldn’t have booked the hotel if I had had any choice.” (AIP)
