New Delhi: Following the demolition of an “illegal” mosque by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), Heavy security was deployed in parts of south Delhi on Thursday,
The situation in Jangpura area is normal, said a police Officer while taking with Agence India Press.
“Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Rapid Action Force (RAF) and Delhi Police personnel have been deployed at Jangpura and nearby areas. The situation is under control and traffic movement is normal in the area,” said a Delhi Police officer.
The DDA demolished an “illegal” mosque built on government land in Jangpura on Wednesday, resulted a violent protests by some, and prompting police to use force and tear gas.
