Srinagar: Curfew remained imposed in the Srinagar for the sixth day running today even as authorities issued shoot-at-sight orders to hold the protests.
Despite the curfew and shoot-at-sight orders people came out on road to hold peaceful protests.
However, people defied curfew at many places and staged protests. In the clashes several persons were wounded.
Another civilian was killed allegedly in firing by security forces here Wednesday, taking the toll in the violence in the Kashmir Valley to 46 since June 11. A teenager had earlier succumbed to bullet injuries following a clash with security personnel.
