Srinagar: After a high level meeting of APHC (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Moulvi umar Farooq addressed a press conference at his uptown residence in srinagar at Nigeen.
While addressing of media persons Mirwaiz said, that civil disobedience program shall be continued at district and town levels in valley
Describing the current situation of Kashmir valley Mirwaiz said it has now become a police state where police and security forces are out of control and without any restriction.
He said that central and state government should know the struggle of a common Kashmiri is its own struggle not by the will anybody else.
According to Agence India Press reporter Mirwaiz strongly condemned the statement of Home Minister P. Chidambaram in which he has called Kashmiri an arrogant.
As it is open to all that on the Martch towards Sopore call by Hurriyat, people peacefully marched more than seven kilometers but at lawaypora police and security forces used brutal powers to stop protestors who were peacefully marching towards North Kashmir’s Sopore town where as security forces brutally beat people Baramulla and Srinagar which ultimately resulted into violence when scores of people in critically injured, when they use batons and tear gas shelling on the innocent people.
We strongly condemn on the statement of Chidambaram in which he has said, that in Kashmir peace protest are launched and supported by lashkar-E-Taiba and Pakistan as well
He said that Kashmir issue is a political issue not economic so should be solved in a political way.
He said very soon Hurriyat Conference is going to constitute a party which will work in both sides of border.
Adding more he said, that if National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party are eager to solve Kashmir issue then they should leave the ballot politics and join hands with us.
Targeting India national media he said, we condemn the policy of these channels which simply are namesake but not for the real facts and events happening in Kashmir valley.
Taking Amaranth yatra Mirwaiz said that all people of Kashmir valley and Hurriyat welcome pilgrims and we assure nobody in valley is going to harm them in any way.
